The Board of Studies meetings in all the departments for revision of syllabus were conducted 29th August. The resolutions passed and the valuable suggestions given by the Hon’ble members were implemented with due respect.

The Semester End Examinations were successfully conducted for Degree and PG courses and the results were declared as per the plan and within the stipulated time. Three students of M.A. Corporate Telugu named P. Sasikala, Sk. Karimunnisa and P. Kalpana are honoured with Prathibha awards by V.S. University. They received Rs.20, 000/- Cash prize, Tab and Gold Medal. Give a big applause to them.

The Historical and Industrial visits were conducted. National Literary week was observed from 14th November to 20th November 2017.

To enhance the Academic standards and to inculcate research culture among the students and retrain the teachers we have conducted number of academic activities under UGC CPE scheme.

Seven days workshop on Desktop publishing was conducted from 30.6.2017 to 7.7.2017. Another workshop on “Utilization of E-resources and Net working of Libraries” was conducted from 30th October to 4th November, 2017. To create awareness on the importance of E-resources, a workshop on “3D Animations was conducted by Andhra Pradesh Technology Academy from 9th to 13th October 2017. Our students participated in Yuvajanostavalu and secured first prize in Gudur division level and also in district level and 3rd prize in state level in dance competition conducted by SETNEL authorities. Blood donation camp was conducted in our college premises on 17.10.2017. Orientation programme on Soft Skills Development was organized by Rotary Club, Gudur on 11.9.2017 to PG students. Hindi Dinostavam was celebrated on 18.9.2017 by Hindi Department. A workshop on Blood grouping was conducted from 18.9.2017 to 23.9.2017 by Zoology Department. All first degree UG & PG students are benefitted by this programme. Orientation Programme for two days was conducted on “Kishori Vikasam” from 2nd and 3rd November 2017 by the Dept. of Integrated Child & Protection. Vigilance Awareness programme was conducted from 3.11.2017 to 10.11.2017. Orientation programme was arranged on disaster management from 2.1.2017 to 4.1.2017 by Indian Red Cross Society. Under Kioshori Vikas Padhakam, Trained students of our college take a privilege to visit SC, ST & BC Govt. Hostels to educate and create awareness among adolescent girls. A guest lecture was arranged to give awareness on Suparipalana by Jayaprakash Narayan, President, Lok Satta in our college premises on 7.11.2017. A Rally was conducted on legal services by our college students to give awareness to public on 9.11.2017. A guest lecture was arranged on Trafficking on 10.11.2017 by Smt. Shanthi, Sub-Judge, Gudur. Basket Ball coaching camp under V.S. University level was conducted in our college premises from 21st Sept. 2017 to 30th Sept. 2017. Kum. K. Vijayalakshmi., I MBA was selected for All India Inter University Tournaments for Ball Badminton. Three UG students named K. Mounika-III BA, S. Jhansi Rani- III BZC and T. Mounika - II BA were selected for Volley Ball South Zone Tournaments. 5 students named K. Mounika- III BA, I. Archana-II BA, T. Mounika-II BA, T. Sneha- III BBC and K. Madhuri- I BCOM were selected for Basket Ball conducted in Anna University under South Zone Tournaments. For Kho-Kho two students named T. Vasavi-III MCS and M. Vengamamba- II BBC were selected for Inter University South Zone Tournaments. 4 students named K. Mounia-III BA, T. Mounika-II BA, E. Jhansirani-III BZC and D. Chandrika II BZC were selected for Youth Volley Ball Tournaments on 15.11.2017 at Guntur. For Kabbadi Kum. P. Revathi was selected in Interstate Tournaments on 6.11.2017 at Mangalore University, Karnataka.

Our students won Shields in Basket Ball & Tenni Koit and placed as runners in Kho-Kho-Kho, Hand Ball and Volley Ball in V.S. University Inter Collegiate Tournaments for the academic year 2017-18. Jr. College students were selected for Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Kho-Kho. Throw Ball and 100 & 200 meters runs for State level tournaments. Our college students participated in the Inter Collegiate Women tournaments and Sports Meet conducted by V.S. University, Nellore and bagged many prizes.

Two students named Sravani and Rani were selected for Everest Climbing at State level. Please give big applause to them.
